Originally used by Romany gypsy's in their wooden caravans, the "QUEEN" stove is intended for background heating and the small firebox capacity makes it suitable for coal or smokeless fuels only. It has a pair of sliding fire doors at the top and front and an ash pan and an ash pan grid and fire bar cover. Beneath the decorative lift off scroll is a "hostess" type hotplate for simmering and warming. The "Queen" will burn between 0.5kg and 0.25kg per hour as a general guide and therefore daily consumption will be about 8kg.
